The fisrt station. This progresses!
A full day of tests, and after some adjustments, corrections and repairs, the first station of the Ovide section. Everybody is anxious to see the first profile … yes, the expected signal appears on the screen. Here we go ! Our Spanish-French-German team is ready for some 126 stations hopefully. It means that we will stop every 10 to 25 nautical miles in the middle of the Atlantic, from Portugal to Greenland and from Greenland to Canada to measure physical and biogeochemical parameters in order to better understand the ocean.
Looking at the profile of the 1st station... Aida, our Chief scientist, is confident.
Bruno and Stéphane, the French guys, are working on their Spanish.
The rosette is coming back from the 1st station under the evening sun.
